El Molino Friends of Music wants you!

Most of our students attend El Molino High School after graduating from 8th grade. You have the opportunity to participate in El Molino Friends of Music, a non profit group of parents supporting music at the high school, and because Sadie teaches here and at Forestville, at the feeder schools too.

Band and Choir Winter Concert 2016

Band and Choir

Sadie Sonntag, our band and choir instructor, is doing a wonderful job of growing our music program for the middle school.  Sadie also teaches at El Molino and Forestville Academy. This gives her a unique opportunity to teach all three schools some of the same music. The younger kids then get to experience playing and singing with older musicians. We have talent at Guerneville School. Please come and join us for concerts this year. The Spring concert will be April 14 at Luther Burbank Center. We hope to see you there.

The band will also have the opportunity to march with Forestville in the Apple Blossom Parade, Forestville Parade, and Stumptown Parade. In the Forestville and Stumptown parades last year, they joined with Forestville, El Molino, Salmon Creek and alumni and parents from those schools who wanted to march and represent. You too may be asked to participate this year!

About Ms. Sonntag

Sadie Sonntag brings a great deal of experience to her role as band and choir teacher at Guerneville School. She was director of the Petaluma Children's Chorus, is a professional singer and member of a band. We are lucky to have her at the school. She is an inspiration to our students. Both the band and choir are growing under her leadership.
