Superintendent

Meet our Superintendent: Dana Pedersen


 

Dana Pedersen currently serves as the Superintendent of Guerneville School District (K-8). She
has over twenty years of local experience serving as a bilingual K-6 teacher, State Preschool
Director, Principal and Assistant Superintendent. Throughout her career, she has strived to
advocate for underserved students in Sonoma County. During her teaching tenure, she was selected to serve a
two-year term as Educator in Residence at Sonoma State University. Mrs. Pedersen has a BA in Mexican
American Studies, a Master’s Degree in Reading and Language Acquisition and has achieved
National Board Certification. She currently serves as a Director on varying educational boards in
Sonoma County and as an Operations Team Member on Cradle to Career.  She has been with the District since July 2015.
