Announcement: Extended Day

Dear Guerneville Families & Community Members,

On Monday, February 27, 2017, the Guerneville Board of Trustees approved a proposal for temporarily extending the school day in order to replenish the recent loss of instruction due to 8 days of emergency school closures. (Click here to view the Resolution). Announcement letters are scheduled to go home on 3.1.17. Below is the new schedule and the start dates.

NEW Daily Schedule:

March 13-17, 2017: No minimum days for Parent Conference Week. Dismissal will occur at our regularly scheduled dismissal: 2:37 p.m.

*Please Note: Teachers will hold parent conferences as needed during the month of March. Your child's teacher will be in contact with you if a conference applies.

Effective March 27, 2017: all minimum days (i.e. Tuesdays) will be restored to full instructional days with dismissal at 2:37 p.m.

Effective March 27, 2017: The start time for the instructional day will be 8:00 a.m. There will be no changes in morning bus routes. Students riding the bus are already on campus prior to 8:00 a.m. and should not be impacted.

At this time, the District has not been notified by the State (CDE) that we are in need of extending our current school year in the month of June 2017. If there are any developments in this regard, we will let you know immediately.

Again we thank you for your flexibility and patience during our emergency school closures. We will send out a variety of schedule reminders as the dates approach. Please contact the office immediately If you have had a recent change in contact information. Also, if you would like to receive email notifications, please fill out the quick sign-up form on this web page (Principal's Newsletter).

If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 707-869-2864.
